Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of The Football Exchange (“the site”), operated by Abdullahi, [Registered or business address](“we”, “us”). By creating an account, browsing as a guest or subscribing, you agree to them.

1. What the site is

The Football Exchange is an entertainment and analysis product. It publishes an index for football players and clubs derived from match statistics, and lets you run a portfolio with simulated cash.

  • Nothing on the site is real money. Trading cash, positions and portfolio values are simulated and cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for anything of value.
  • The index is not a financial security, and nothing on the site is financial, investment or betting advice. Signals, value picks, Alpha Scores and editorial notes are opinion.
  • Statistics come from a third-party data provider and may be delayed, incomplete or corrected after publication.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to open an account or subscribe.
  • Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One account per person. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the leaderboard, automate trading, scrape the site or break these terms.
  • Your leaderboard handle is visible to other users. Do not choose one that is offensive or impersonates someone.

3. The Pro plan

  • Pro is a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include any applicable VAT.
  • Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds and your statutory cancellation rights are covered in the Refund Policy.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A change applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, resell or redistribute the index, Pro data or exports, attempt to access data your plan does not include, interfere with the site's security, or use it for anything unlawful.

5. Our content

The site, the index methodology, scores and editorial content belong to us or our licensors. Club and player names are used to identify them only; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any club, league or player.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site running and to publish on schedule, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free or updated at a particular time. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Pro, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for any decision you make based on the site, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@thefootball.exchange.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
